San Fran

So, I went on my first official trip to the West Coast at the end of February! I do not count:

-crossing the border into California when we went to Lake Tahoe or
-staying overnight at the airport in Los Angeles (LAX) on our way to Hawaii

I had to be in Sacramento, CA for work on a Monday so I figured if they were going to fly me all the way out to the West Coast, I might as well spend some days exploring on my own. I flew in to San Fran and poked around on Saturday and part of Sunday. I took the obligatory rides on the cable cars (which was my fav part) and basically walked all over the city. You probably don't want to know how far I walked, actually! On Saturday, I went to the Asian Art Museum and the Golden Gate Park- where I really wanted to see the bison. On Sunday, I walked to the Golden Gate Bridge and watched the ocean, sailboats, and Alcatraz Island in the distance. Sunday afternoon I went to Sonoma Valley to meet up with my colleague who was delivering the training with me on Monday. Sonoma is unreal-gorgeous and the wine ain't bad!

Overall, I realized that I am very glad I do not live in Cali right now. Mostly because it would not be good for my career. I would certainly not be able hold down a 9-5 job. How could you possibly sit inside at a desk during the most gorgeous hours of the day?! I took lots of gorgeous pictures, which are now online.
