So, a few months ago, I discovered the glory of the google map "street view." Sadly, they did not have DC at the time. I recently discovered that they now have street views of DC! So, I thought it would be fun to take you on a virtual tour of "Our DC."
First off on the tour is our apartment! Note that on any one of these pictures, you can click & drag your mouse to move around and explore the area. David & I live in the Woodley Park neighborhood in northwest DC.

We actually live right on the National Zoo! This is a view basically from our back window and that driveway that's open is the construction/employee entrance to the zoo! Funny story: When we moved in, the woman showing us our apartment said that we lived right next to the "deer field." On our first trip to the zoo after we moved, we came to learn that there is, in fact, no deer field. That's right. In fact, what we lived next to was the bird sanctuaries and the free-range monkeys. Mmm humm.

We live just a few blocks away from the metro station. The view below is right across from the metro station. You can see the "Stanford in Washington" house/art gallery and a few of the little restaurants with outdoor seating areas. Most are a little out of our price range but nice to look at! The market we pop in to frequently is located here, as is our favorite brunch place- Open City- and my yoga studio.

I'm just a few stops away from my office which is located at Metro Center. Our office building is the former Grayhound bus station and very art deco. Our offices are located on the 10th floor.

David's law school is just across the river in Arlington, VA. Here's a shot of the building from across the street.
