Alex Got Pilot Position with the US Air Force!!!!

I got some of the most exciting news ever last week! My brother, Alex, called me to let me know that he was chosen to be a PILOT for the U.S. Air Force!!!!! For those of you who don't know, Alex is currently in the Air Force ROTC program at the University of Georgia. The process of determining if someone is suitable for a pilot slot is long and rigorous and he has been trying for this since he joined ROTC his freshman year. The competition to obtain one of these positions is fierce yet all the folks @ UGA fared quite well. Out of 6 people vying for a slot, 3 people got pilot slots and 3 people got navigator slots. This reflects the quality of Air Force cadets at UGA and was crazy exciting. I couldn't be happier and am incredibly excited for him!!!

The above image was actually taken by Alex from a plane over the Gulf of Mexico- it is an F/A 22 refuling!

I'd like to send a special thank you to Adriane & Emmie who helped coordinate getting a little "congratulations" gift to Alex. Being a sister so far away can sometimes be quite difficult and I am so glad to have 2 sweet ladies down in Athens to assist me in congratulating my bro.
